President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih traveled to Eydhafushi Island in Baa Atoll on Monday and inaugurated the extension of the Baa Atoll Hospital.

The extension of Baa Atoll Hospital was developed to address space constraints at the facility. The new addition features a six-bed dialysis unit, six Outpatient Department (OPD) consultation rooms, a waiting area, and a reception. Following the inauguration of the extension, President Solih inspected the building and inquired about its services and operations.

In addition, the President also integrated the new powerhouse and FENAKA Office on Hithaadhoo Island. The newly inaugurated FENAKA office and powerhouse on Hithaadhoo Island have been developed with state-of-the-art amenities. The facility can accommodate up to 15 employees and is strategically located away from residential areas. Its power generation capacity is 800 kilowatts. The office was designed to provide a comfortable and efficient working environment for FENAKA employees and better serve the local community's needs.

The completion of these projects was marked as part of President Solih's ongoing visit to the atoll.

Under President Solih's leadership, the administration has achieved significant strides toward equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. This includes enhancing the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives. During his visits to various islands, President Solih is officially inaugurating the completion of numerous projects and services.
