The State Trading Organization (STO) has denied reports that the company is going to sign an agreement with an Indian company to import medicines.

STO denied this after the President-elect's office said that a special agreement is being signed between STO and a Tamil Nadu company to supply medicines and medical supplies to the Maldives.

According to the Spokesperson of the office of the President-elect, Mohamed Firuzul Abdullah Khaleel, President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has requested the government to delay this agreement.
