November 22nd; the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 30 additional cases of COVID-19 within 24 hours. This includes 22 Maldivians and 08 Foreigners.
The total positive cases recorded includes 27 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 03 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the COVID-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 12,608 cases. This includes 956 active cases to COVID-19 in the Maldives.
As per HPA, 1,763 samples were tested within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 40 people have been recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 11,599.
According to HPA, there are 344 patients in isolation facilities and 86 patients in hospitals.
There are active Covid-19 cases in 31 resorts including 54 Tourists and 155 staff, and there are active cases in 12 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area.
So far, Maldives has recorded 46 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
