November 23rd; the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 150 additional cases of COVID-19 within 24 hours. This includes 58 Maldivians and 92 Foreigners.
The total positive cases recorded includes 62 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 88 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the COVID-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 12,758 cases. This includes 1,090 active cases to COVID-19 in the Maldives.
As per HPA, 1,717 samples were tested within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 16 people have been recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 11,615.
According to HPA, there are 342 patients in isolation facilities and 92 patients in hospitals.
There are active Covid-19 cases in 32 resorts including 58 tourists and 233 staff, and there are active cases in 14 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area.
So far, Maldives has recorded 46 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
