President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with some leaders of key political parties in the Maldives. These meetings took place separately at the President’s Office this afternoon.

As such, the President met with the leader of the Jumhooree Party and Parliament Member of Maamigilli Constituency, Hon. Qasim Ibrahim; the President of the Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) and the Member of Parliament for Meedhoo Constituency, Hon. Ahmed Siyam Mohamed; the President of the Maldives National Party (MNP) and the Member of Parliament for Dhangethi Constituency, Hon. Colonel (Rtd.) Mohamed Nazim, and the President of the Democrats and the Member of Parliament for West Henvyru Constituency, Hon. Uz. Hassan Latheef.

Their discussions centered on working together to improve the nation and emphasized the significance of working for the betterment of the community.

The political leaders affirmed that they would provide full support and cooperation to the Government on various issues, including the country's peace and tranquillity, various development projects undertaken by the Government, and prioritizing national interests in domestic and foreign affairs.

Throughout the meetings, President Dr Muizzu stressed that the ideas and perspectives of all political parties were crucial to the Administration’s operations and expressed hope that such meetings would continue in the future.
