December 17th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 16 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 11 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 05 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 13,418 cases, including 535 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 280,377 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 3,171 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 42 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 12,828.
According to HPA, there are 48 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 48 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
