The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has lifted the curfew held for the greater Male’ area to ease Covid-19 restrictions.

The signed statement by the Director-General of Public Health, Maimoona, was released on Friday evening, announcing the ease of restrictions by lifting the curfew held for the greater Male’ area. Previously curfew ran from 00:00-04:00 hours in the greater Male’ area.

The ease in restrictions comes following the decrease in COVID-19 cases recorded in the greater Male’ area. As per the recent records, Maldives has reported 26 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours. With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 13,444 cases. The recent records also show the recovery of a total of 12,836 infected people.
