January 2nd, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 30 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.

The total positive cases recorded includes 17 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 13 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 13,834 cases, including 613 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.

So far, HPA has taken 320,957 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 2,105 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 16 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 13,166.

According to HPA, there are 29 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 48 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
