January 3rd, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 33 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 24 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 09 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 13,867 cases, including 621 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 322,728 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 1,734 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 25 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 13,191.
According to HPA, there are 31 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 48 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
