Opposition calls to end the limitations set for Debit and Credit cards by the Bank of Maldives (BML).
In regards to the new limitations set by the BML, the opposition’s statement says that the government supported limitations set for Debit and Credit cards by the Bank of Maldives will challenge a lot of people living abroad.
Further in the statement, the opposition have accused that the economic weakness caused in the Maldives is due to incompetence of the current government. The opposition also added that the government has taken too much time to implement the ethics of economics in the Maldivian economy development and this has led to a shortage of foreign money reserves in the Maldives, hence an increase of Dollar rate.
The statement also highlighted that putting the people in suffering by wasting money on uneducated, incompetent political activistist of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), shows that the time is near of ending the presidency of HEP Mr Ibrahim Solih. The opposition emphasized on the fact that an independent judiciary will come after the people who have caused the suffering and will face a long jail time.
