January 9th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 25 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 15 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 10 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. This includes 10 people positive from operational resorts.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 14,065 cases, including 701 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 338,864 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 2,422 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 47 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 13,308.
According to HPA, there are 47 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 49 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
