February 1st, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 215 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.

The total positive cases recorded includes 159 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 56 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 20 people are positive from operational resorts, and 27 people tested positive from non-operational resorts.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 16,056 cases, including 1,807 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.

So far, HPA has taken 413,766 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 4,126 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 51 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 14,190.

According to HPA, there are 184 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 52 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
