February 2nd, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 99 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 82 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 17 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 12 people are positive from operational resorts.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 16,155 cases, including 1,833 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 417,313 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 3,471 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 73 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 14,263.
According to HPA, there are 186 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 52 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
