Former President of the Maldives, Al-Ustaz Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, is set to introduce a new font designed in his name.

The font, "Maumoon," was developed in collaboration with the Maumoon Foundation and Akuru Type. This marks a unique achievement as it is the first time a font has been created specifically to represent the handwriting of a Maldivian president.

The official launch of the Maumoon font is scheduled for a special ceremony at the Male' Art Gallery this Friday night. Following the launch, an exhibition showcasing the font will be held at the gallery on Saturday, open to the public from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM, according to a statement from the Maumoon Foundation.

This introduction of the Maumoon font is a significant moment in the country's cultural and artistic history, symbolizing a fusion of modern technology and the legacy of the former president.
