Former economic minister, Mohamed Saeed has stated that this is the time to bring the modern day developments of the 21st century around the globe, to the Maldives.

Tweeting in remembrance of the first A380 aeroplane landed to the country, Mr Saeed, mentioned that this is not the time to look back and our actions should not take us back from the achievements we already have received through the developments that the Maldives has seen over the past years in the transportation sector. He also added that HEP Mr Ibrahim Solih should stop thinking on public transportation through ferries and horse-drawn carriages, rather work on moving forward in developments of transportation.

The first A380 landed by a Maldivian Pilot, to the Velana International Airport was in 2018. Mr Saeed tweeted with pictures, bringing back memories of the historical moment.
