Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, has kicked off its innovative 'Fly with a Smile' campaign in Fuvahmulah, aiming to foster environmental awareness, career development, and community engagement.

The initiative, launched this week, reflects Maldivian’s commitment to promoting a positive culture within the airline and giving back to the community through collaboration with the Fuvahmulah Council.

The campaign began on February 25th with the first event under Maldivian’s Green Horizons Initiative. The airline’s team, along with local volunteers, participated in a tree-planting activity designed to boost Fuvahmulah's green cover. This effort aligns with President Muizzu’s pledge to plant five million trees, aiming to create a greener and healthier environment for future generations.

Continuing the momentum, a Career Guidance Session was held on February 26th for Grade 10 students, providing valuable insights from industry experts to help students navigate their career paths. This session was designed to equip the youth with the knowledge needed for a successful future.

The campaign concluded on February 27th with ‘Maldivian Haveeree Ufaa,’ held at the iconic Fuvahmulah Thundi in collaboration with the Fuvahmulah Council and the Women’s Development Committee. The event celebrated the island’s pre-Ramadan tradition, Maahefun, bringing the community together to preserve the rich cultural heritage of the Maldives.

The 'Fly with a Smile' campaign not only reinforces Maldivian’s commitment to environmental sustainability and youth empowerment but also strengthens community bonds by celebrating cultural traditions.
