Local veteran actor Koyya Hassan Manik has passed away this morning while undergoing treatment at the Dharumavantha Hospital.
As per the Health Protection Agency (HPA), the 67-year-old was admitted to Dharumavantha Hospital for further treatment to Covid-19, and passed away at 10:28 am. HPA confirms that this would be the 60th Covid-19 death from the Maldives.
His death marks the second COVID-19 fatality in the Maldives within less than 12 hours.
So far, 18,467 cases have been reported positive to Covid-19 in the Maldives, out of which, over 15,965 infected people have been recovered.
