February 21st, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 157 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded include 103 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 54 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 32 people are positive from operational resorts.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 18,769 cases, including 2,506 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 492,160 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 4,353 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 135 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 16,196.
According to HPA, there are 162 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 60 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
