The local male who passed away this Wednesday morning is the 63rd death reported from Covid-19 complications in the Maldives.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has stated that a 67-year-old male brought to IGMH/ER in an unresponsive state was declared dead at 6 am today. HPA has confirmed that this was the 63rd death related to Covid-19, after testing the deceased to Covid-19.
So far, over 20,000 cases have been reported positive to Covid-19 in the Maldives, out of which, over 17,000 infected people have been recovered.
