March 8th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 125 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded include 103 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 22 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 13 people are positive from operational resorts.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 20,919 cases, including 2,595 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 555,623 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 3,691 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 129 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 18,253.
According to HPA, there are 179 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 64 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
