September 28th; (HPA) Health Protection Agency of the Maldives; reports 59 positive cases within 24 hours. This includes 47 Maldivians and 12 Foreigners.
Total of positive cases records 54 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 05 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the COVID-19, confirmed COVID-19 cases in Maldives have increased up to 10,157. This includes 1,166 active cases to COVID-19 in Maldives.
HPA also reported recovery of 103 infected people in the last 24 hours, which adds up to a total of 8,950 people recovered.
There are active COVID-19 cases in 23 resorts and in 22 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. The active cases in resorts include 11 Tourists and 24 staff.
Maldives has recorded 34 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
