Around 13,771 violators have been arrested in various regions of the Kingdom for breaching residency, work, and border security regulations, an official report has revealed.
As per the report, from February 24 to March 2, a total of 7,163 people were arrested for violations of residency rules, while 4,542 were held over illegal border crossing attempts and a further 2,066 for labor-related issues.
The report showed that among the 150 people arrested for trying to enter the Kingdom illegally, 46 percent were Yemeni, 42 percent Ethiopian, and 12 percent were of other nationalities.
A further 237 people were caught trying to cross into neighboring countries, and eight were held for involvement in transporting and harboring violators.
