According to Sputnik, the Taliban has refused to allow female students to leave the Afghan capital to study in Kazakhstan and Qatar.

Female and male students were both preparing to depart Kabul, but only male students were allowed to fly out of Afghanistan for studies, according to sources on Friday.

Following the withdrawal of US forces and the demise of the US-backed government, an interim Afghan government led by the Taliban took control in 2021.

Since the takeover, the Taliban has prohibited Afghan women from working outside the house and has implemented gender segregation in schools. Girls are not permitted to continue their education past the sixth grade.

Furthermore, the Taliban requires all women to hide their faces in public, and women are not permitted to participate in recreational activities or attend parks at the same time as males.

Following the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan in August 2021, the Taliban adopted laws severely curtailing fundamental rights, notably those of women and girls. Taliban rules forbid women from traveling unless accompanied by a male relative and demand women to hide their faces in public, even female television newscasters.
