According to MP Hussain Mohamed, the free degree program has restored hope for people who have given up on education.

Central Fuvahmulak constituency MP Hussain said this one reference to the speech given by the President on the occasion of Republic Day.

In his speech, speaking about the administration-led projects over the past four years, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih highlighted the success of the free degree program. He also announced that the number of people enrolled in the program exceeds 15,547. The President said the government has been working hard to build a productive young generation for the past four years.

Supporting the President's remarks, MP Hussain Mohamed said the free degree was a revival for children who had lost hope of studying. It is an important national effort initiated by President Solih to build an intellectual generation, MP Hussain said.

MP Hussain said this step for the future has brightened the lives of 15,547 students.

In his speech last night, President said that the free degree program is the largest investment made for the future of the Republic. More than 5,000 opportunities have been created through the government's skills training programs alone, he said.

If the youth had been facilitated earlier with the opportunities available now, today's results would have been better, and the number of youth who are desperate and lost, would have been reduced, President said.
