Lubna Zahir Hussain, who has held senior positions in the government, has joined Jumhooree Party.

Lubna handed over her form to JP leader Qasim Ibrahim at a ceremony held at the JP office.

Lubna Zahir is the daughter of Dr. Mohamed Zahir Hussain, who served as a Minister in various Ministries in President Maumoon's government and is now the Chancellor of the National University.

She has served as the State Minister of the Ministry of Health, Chairman of the National Drug Agency and as a Member of the Special Assembly in the Parliament.

Lubna has signed with JP at a time when the party is working to strengthen itself for the upcoming presidential election.
