Health Minister Ahmed Naseem has thanked President Solih for increasing the salaries of health workers.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih announced the increment of salaries of the health workers effective from tomorrow, in a video message released today.
Following the announcement, Minister Naseem in a tweet thanked the President on behalf of the health workers for bringing out a positive change in their salaries and providing them with a better future.
In his message, the President detailed some of the revisions made to the wages of health sector employees. President Solih also disclosed that these salary changes and 35 percent allowance for staff in all government ministries would benefit a total of 9,838 employees and cost MVR 482 Million annually.
President expressed hope that these improvements will lead to greater service and incentivise more Maldivians to join the health sector workforce.
