Hassan Zareer, Member of Parliament for Mathivari constituency, has been stabbed.

The Police have stated that they learned that Mathiveri MP Hassan Zareer had been stabbed inside Habibi Cafe and Bistro at around 5:08 am today.

Police said MP Zareer is currently being treated at ADK Hospital for injuries sustained in the stabbing. However, they did not disclose the details of Zareer's injuries.

Police did not say whether anyone had been arrested in connection with the incident, nor did they reveal a reason for the attack.

The Police said that they are investigating the incident.
