The State Trading Organization Plc (STO) has reduced the price of the fuel they sell.

STO said the price of fuel has been reduced due to the decline in fuel prices in the international market.

As such, petrol will be sold at MVR 15.14 per litre and diesel at MVR 15.70 per litre at STO's Fuel Supply Maldives (FSM) stations starting from today.

Earlier, petrol was sold at MVR 15.97 per litre, and diesel at MVR 16.32 per litre. So this is a reduction of 83 laari per litre of petrol and 62 laari per litre of diesel.

STO said they have always worked to provide all their services to the people in a sustainable manner.

As such, the company said that changes in the fuel prices in the international market will be reflected in the local prices.
