Speaking at a Raajje Tv program, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih stated that prior to hiring and dismissing ministers, the government has always discussed it with the political party coalition.

Detailing further, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, stated that the government always seeks advice from the coalition party leaders before taking any action. He said that he also initiates calls and keeps in contact to maintain the relationship between the coalition parties.

In addition, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih spoke about the trials of the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) embezzlement and money laundering scandal. He said that all the people who are accused of benefiting from the MMPRC scandal, cannot be sent for trials before verifying and further investigating. Meanwhile, he said that four people accuse of benefiting from the MMPRC scandal will be sent to the Prosecutor Generals (PG) Office to press charges very soon.

Moreover, the President said that the presidential commission on investigation of Murders and Enforced Disappearances has finished the investigation of nine cases, and the final reports of it are in process. Speaking about the presidential commission on investigation of Murders and Enforced Disappearances, the President said that although the process is taking a longer time than expected to investigate cases, the commission has reflected positive work in progress so far.

Further speaking at the Raajje Tv program, President also states that during the upcoming December, the government will initiate 3000 housing-flat projects. He also reflected that in the budget proposed for 2021, multiple plans are included for housing projects for the greater Male’ area citizens.

Reflecting on the two years spent since assuming office, the President expresses that he is happy with how far the progress has been under his administration and gave the assurance on positive impacts from upcoming projects.
