Malaysian Foreign Ministry announces that all the foreigners entering Malaysia are required to pay the Covid-19 test and quarantine services fees before arrival in Malaysia.

Following the announcement, Maldives High Commission in Malaysia released a statement reminding all the Maldivians who are planning to travel to Malaysia, to pay Covid-19 test and quarantine services fees before arrival in Malaysia. The statement reads that payments can be processed via MySafeTravel or MyQr by MyEG and receipt of payment has to be presented to officials at the airport on arrival.

As per the Maldives High Commission in Malaysia, the new announcement by the Malaysian Foreign Ministry will be effective from 15 November 2020.

Malaysia is well known for Maldivian travelers and many Maldivians are students of Malaysian universities as well.

Malaysia has restricted all travels in and out of the country due to the Covid-19 pandemic, unless with a special permit from the Malaysian Immigration.
