November 17th; the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives reports 41 positive cases from 1,075 samples taken within 24 hours. This includes 30 Maldivians and 11 Foreigners.
A total of positive cases records 35 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 06 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the COVID-19, confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Maldives have increased up to 12,355. This includes 915 active cases to COVID-19 in the Maldives.
HPA also reported the recovery of 72 infected people in the last 24 hours, which adds up to a total of 11,388 people recovered.
There are active Covid-19 cases in 28 resorts and in 09 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. 52 Tourists and 88 staff have been tested positive for covid-19 in the resorts.
So far, Maldives has recorded 45 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
