Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Ibrahim Hassan announced the decision of proposing, making assignments for money as an act of crime against the constitution.
Speaking at Raajje Tv, Dr. Ibrahim Hassan said that making assignments for money, has been brought attention to Maldives Police Service and its scheduled to discuss further regarding the issue. He added that the issue is currently investigated at the Maldives Qualification Authority as well.
Further speaking, Minister Dr. Ibrahim Hassan said that the issue will be discussed with Colleges and University as well. Minister highlighted that the issue will be solved once the higher education bill gets approved under the constitution and academic plagiarism is proposed as a crime under the bill.
Doing assignments for money has been considered as a huge issue and it had people questioning the qualification of the higher education students. The concerning issue has been brought to attention to public by First Lady Fazna Ahmed as well.
