The recent records have shown that the most number of guest houses are reopened in Kaafu Atoll since the Maldives border reopening.
As per the Ministry of Tourism 37 guest houses are reopened in 7 islands of Kaafu Atoll. The second most number of guest houses are reopened in Alifu Alifu Atoll. The records show that 34 guest houses are reopened on 4 islands in Alifu Alifu Atoll.
The recent records of the Ministry of Tourism show that a total of 102 guest houses have been reopened. This includes 12 guest houses from Vaavu Atoll, 6 guest houses from Alifu Dhaalu Atoll, 6 guest houses from Baa Atoll, 4 guest houses from Gnaviyani Atoll, 2 guest houses from Seenu Atoll, and one guest houses from Noonu Atoll.
The Maldives reopened its borders to international passengers on July 15, after nearly four months since the state halted issuing on-arrival visas on March 27. Guesthouses were permitted to resume operations and kick start local tourism on October 15.
