A baby has been found abandoned after giving birth in a garbage dump in Digurang.

Police said the case was reported at 09:20 a.m. today after the baby was found abandoned.

The baby was found abandoned in a bag after giving birth, Police said.

According to the Police, the doctor who examined the child has confirmed that the baby was dead.

Currently, a police team is on the island for further investigation.

In addition, Police have now arrested a 30-year-old Sri Lankan woman in connection with the incident. She was arrested at the Velana International Airport.
