Addressing concerns over debt trap allegations with India, President Solih stressed the importance of seeking assistance from neighboring countries to alleviate financial burdens. He called on the government to abandon stubbornness and engage in dialogue with regional partners, emphasizing the willingness of Maldives' neighbors to provide support.

Referring to India as a reliable ally, President Solih underscored the importance of fostering diplomatic relations with neighboring countries and leveraging partnerships within the Islamic Ummah to address the nation's economic challenges effectively.

President Solih's remarks highlight the pressing need for the government to diversify aid sources and adopt a pragmatic approach towards addressing financial challenges.
