The Fushidhiggaru Falhu reclamation project, commonly referred to as the Rasmale' project, initiated by the current government to address housing issues, has come under scrutiny as a case has been filed with the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

According to the ACC media officer, a case related to the Rasmale' project has been submitted to the commission and is currently under investigation. However, details regarding the nature of the case or its filer have not been disclosed by the ACC.

The Rasmale' dredging project, initially intended to be included in this year's budget, faced opposition in the MDP-majority parliament, resulting in its exclusion from the budget. Consequently, the project proceeded by granting a substantial land parcel to a foreign company, circumventing state budget allocations.

The decision to allocate land to a foreign entity for dredging a remote area has sparked controversy, with various political parties and stakeholders expressing concerns about fairness and transparency in pricing and project execution.
