Peace in society can only be established if the moral standards of the people living there are good, Speaker of the Parliament, Adulla Abdul Raheem, said during the inauguration ceremony of the Islamic University of Maldives's (IUM) participation in the IUM Sanabil Project Sukuk.

Addressing the audience at the event, Speaker Abdul Raheem underscored the significance of establishing order in society. He emphasized that peace, security, and justice can only be achieved by maintaining high moral standards. The Speaker highlighted the importance of producing children based on Islamic principles, particularly in a country like the Maldives, where the population is 100 percent Muslim. He pointed to the fundamental role of moral and religious education in shaping future generations.

Abdul Raheem also stressed the crucial role of the Islamic University of Maldives in fostering development and civilization in the country. He called for enhanced efforts to provide Islamic education more effectively, citing the need for adequate financial resources and sufficient space as critical factors for the university's growth and success.

The IUM Sanabil Project Sukuk, inaugurated at the ceremony, aims to address space constraints by constructing a new building in Hulhumale', which will significantly alleviate the current limitations and allow the institution to better serve its educational mission.
