Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Virtual National Quran Competition, Vice President Faisal Naseem urged parents to support students to recover the lost time from the academic year 2020.

In his speech, the Vice President stated that pupils lost valuable time from their academic year due to Covid-19 and that we must strive to recover the lost time within the upcoming year. He urged parents and guardians to put in extra effort to help their children in achieving this target.

During the closing ceremony of the Virtual National Quran Competition, the Vice President presented awards and certificates to first- and second-prize winners and five individuals who memorized the Holy Quran.

The closing ceremony of the Virtual National Quran Competition 2020 was held on this Thursday, at the Islamic Centre, with several award winners joining online to receive their awards. The ‘Virtual National Quran Competition 2020’ was the first held virtually, with contestants joining remotely from across the Maldives and abroad.
