President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu will address the nation during this year's Independence Day function at the Social Centre on Friday night, July 26, 2024, according to the President's Office.
During the function, the National Award for Public Service will be presented to 138 veteran state employees who have served the nation for over 35 years. The award recognizes individuals for their competence, integrity, and dedication to their respective fields.
The National Awards Committee, appointed by President Muizzu, selected the nominees, including 70 individuals who have served for more than 43 years. The awards highlight the significant contributions of these long-serving public employees to the development of the Maldives.
