During the recent press conference by Health Emergency Operation Centre (HEOC), Dr Ibrahim Afsal said that the hope is people continuing to follow the guideline without further restricting the current guidelines.
Dr Afsal further added that although the spreading of the virus has increased, it does not look like we are in a pandemic by looking at the road. And during the discussion held at HEOC, the changes to the guidelines depending on the worsening of the situation is addressed but everyone is hoping to see people continuing to follow the guideline without further restricting the current guidelines.
In regards to the recent drop in positive cases, Dr Afsal said that it doesn't not make much of a difference, as the drop in numbers of positive cases we see is just a slight change.
HPA has set guidelines to decrease further spreading of the virus in the greater Male’ area, which includes no vehicle after 8pm and curfew from 10pm onwards along with mandatory wearing of masks in public areas.
