January 4th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 26 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 11 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 15 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 13,893 cases, including 634 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 325,587 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 2,901 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 13 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 13,204.
According to HPA, there are 32 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 48 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
