Former President Mr Mohamed Nasheed denies the speculations of Economic Minister Mr. Fayyaaz trying to defame Mr Nasheed.
The remarks by Mr Nasheed was in regards to an article written by ‘Raajje Mv’ where it mentions that Mr Fayyaaz is spending millions on to defame Mr Nasheed. The article has now been removed from the site. Mr Nasheed shared his views on a viber platform, which includes senior members of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP). He added that the only person who was trying to defame him is Mr Akram Kamaaluddin, the former shareholder of Raajje Tv.
Meanwhile, from the day Mr Nasheed raised his concerns over his trust issues towards the Economic Minister Mr. Fayyaaz, there have been different views raised within MDP members along with intense discussions held between the supporters of Mr Fayyaz and Mr Nasheed.
Addressing the suggestion of resignation by Mr Nasheed, Mr Fayyaaz has mentioned that he has no plans to resign from his post as the Economic minister. HEP Mr. Ibrahim Solih has also mentioned that there is no need for him to resign from his designation.
