President Mohammed Muizzu arrived in New York on Wednesday to attend the 79th United Nations General Assembly session. Upon his arrival at John F. Kennedy International Airport, he was welcomed by Dr. Ali Naseer Mohammed, the Maldives' Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
President Muizzu is scheduled to deliver his address to the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, September 24. During his visit, he will also attend the Summit of the Future and chair several key discussions.
In addition to his participation in multilateral events, President Muizzu will hold bilateral talks with leaders from various countries, aiming to strengthen international relations.
The President is expected to return to the Maldives on Sunday, September 29, after completing his engagements.
