President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has conveyed his greetings and best wishes to President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang of China on the occasion of the 75th National Day of the People’s Republic of China.

In his letter to President Xi, President Muizzu reflected on his successful State Visit to China earlier this year and reiterated the Maldives' commitment to the One-China Principle. He emphasized shared values such as mutual respect, sovereign equality, territorial integrity, and non-intervention in internal affairs. Dr. Muizzu expressed confidence in the continued growth of the Maldives-China partnership, which he believes will bring mutual benefits to both nations.

In a separate letter addressed to Premier Li Qiang, President Muizzu reaffirmed the Maldives' dedication to further strengthening bilateral relations. He expressed optimism that ongoing collaboration between the two countries would elevate their already strong and friendly ties to new heights.

The National Day of China marks the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949.
