January 12th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 59 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 33 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 26 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 14,218 cases, including 760 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 348,464 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 2,768 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 37 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 13,402.
According to HPA, there are 54 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 49 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
