January 14th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 48 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 19 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 29 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. This includes 14 people positive from operational resorts.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 14,325 cases, including 896 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 351,808 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 3,314 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 25 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 13,463.
According to HPA, there are 58 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 49 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
