Including the initial 26 Covid-19 positive cases, the total number of positive cases from Olhuveli resort has increased to 58 cases.
During the recent press conference, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has informed that out of the total 87 positive cases recorded from the Maldives, 32 reported from Olhuveli resort. HPA also stated that from Olhuveli resort, all the positive cases were reported within the employees of the resort.
The SunSiyam Olhuveli resort reported the initial Covid-19 positive cases on January 09. It was reported after employees tested to Covid-19 for showing symptoms. Following the initial positive case from Olhuveli resort, HPA is continuing to take random samples from the resort.
As per the recent statistics of HPA, so far, 219 Covid-19 positive cases have been found from tourist facilities.
