January 18th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 69 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 35 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 08 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. This includes 26 people positive from operational resorts and 08 people positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 14,582 cases, including 960 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 367,424 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 3,330 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 26 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 13,566.
According to HPA, there are 74 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 49 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
