January 19th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 51 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 32 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 19 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. This includes 17 people positive from operational resorts and 02 people positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 14,633 cases, including 962 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 370,938 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 3,168 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 49 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 13,615.
According to HPA, there are 73 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 49 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
