September 18th; (HPA) Health Protection Agency of the Maldives; reports 74 positive cases within 24 hours. This includes 37 Maldivians and 37 Foreigners.
Total of positive cases records 70 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 4 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the COVID-19, confirmed COVID-19 cases in Maldives have increased up to 9,568. This includes 1,452 active cases to COVID-19 in Maldives.
HPA also reported recovery of 44 infected people in the last 24 hours, which adds up to a total of 8,077 people recovered.
There are active COVID-19 cases in 27 resorts and in 21 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. The active cases in resorts include 18 Tourists and 39 staff.
Maldives has recorded 33 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
